Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
- Account information: name and email address from your chosen sign‑in provider (Google or Apple).
- App data you provide: trips, expenses, categories, currencies, payers/participants, and any receipt images you upload.
- Purchase information: non-sensitive purchase metadata needed to enable premium features via Apple In‑App Purchases.
- Diagnostics: basic analytics and crash information to improve stability and performance.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide core features: create trips, track and split expenses, manage receipts.
- Improve accuracy and UX (for example, optional receipt extraction to suggest totals, dates, or categories).
- Process paywall access and entitlements for premium functionality.
- Maintain app reliability, security, and prevent abuse.
iOS Permissions and Examples
- Camera — used to scan receipts and attach photos to expenses. Example: “Take a photo of a restaurant receipt to auto‑fill the amount.”
- Photo Library — used to select existing receipt images and, when you choose, to save captured receipts to your library.
- Microphone (optional) — used only if you record videos while capturing receipts. The app works without microphone access.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers to operate the app:
- Supabase for secure data hosting, authentication, and serverless functions.
- Apple In‑App Purchase infrastructure to process purchases and restore transactions.
- Superwall to present the paywall and manage entitlements for premium access.
- Cloudflare Pages to host this legal site.
Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal identifiers are removed. To preserve trip integrity for other participants, remaining trip and expense records you created are reassigned to a placeholder “Deleted User.”
Your Rights
- Access, export, correct, or delete your data from within the app.
- Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable by law.

Delete Your Account
You can initiate account deletion directly in the app. This permanently removes personal identifiers and reassigns remaining trip data you created to a “Deleted User” profile to avoid breaking other participants’ records.
- In App: Open Spnding → Profile → Settings → Delete Account, then confirm.
- Cannot access the app? Email support@spnding.co and we’ll assist promptly.

Acceptance of Terms
By using Spnding, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
Spnding helps you track and split trip expenses, capture receipts, and manage balances among participants.
User Accounts
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information in your account and for maintaining account security.
- Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Purchases and Subscriptions
- Premium access is sold via Apple In‑App Purchases. Apple’s terms and refund policies apply.
- If you reinstall or change devices, you can restore purchases using your Apple ID.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting unauthorized access, interfering with normal operation, or violating applicable laws.
Limitation of Liability
Spnding is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Changes
We may update these Terms or this Privacy Policy. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
